Who can become a member Tennessee Chapter of APWA?
Anyone can become a member of APWA. There are various types of memberships available. You can review the membership types at the APWA web site : www.apwa.net.
To become a member of the Tennessee Chapter, you must first become a member of APWA.
Who can attend TPWI (Tennessee Public Works Institute)?
Anyone who is employed by a city or county government in Tennessee may attend TPWI classes. You DO NOT have to be a member of APWA or TCAPWA. TPWI is not available to anyone outside of Tennessee.
Can I volunteer to assist the Tennessee Chapter, or do I have to be elected?
Any TCAPWA member may volunteer to serve on any of the various TCAPWA committees. Officers of the TCAPWA Executive Committee (or board of directors) are elected annually at the Annual TCAPWA Conference. TCAPWA is always looking for volunteers who would like to become active in the Chapter and its activities. If you're interested in volunteering to help with Chapter activities you can send an e-mail to TCAPWA@comcast.net.
